Tamara Louis produces many fabric fashion accessories. For ArtiCadeau, she built handbags for ladies. Originated from the Namurian area, she still carries on her activities there.
Her work is divided into two parts:
It is on the one hand about the design of a model. That consists of the modeling of her invention: she draws them and then comes the phase from prototyping.
An special attention is always paid to combine simplicity, esthetism and practical side. The models are sober with easy but effective closings. All the bags are doubled. Very often, one or two pockets - interns or external - comes to supplement the model to maximize the filing spaces. She works on two basic sizes: a4 model or the small pocket for the festive occasions.
At the time of the second phase, it is a question of drawing the reason on the realization or of taking as a starting point existing reasons (Japanese, tribal,…). Tamara Louis is screener textile of formation and it is very often the drawing and the matter which will decide the shape or character of the bag. It thus draws reasons, or takes as a starting point existing reasons: Japanese, tribal… Then comes the decision from the place, the form of the reason, its character. The reason can be the key of originality of the model but sometimes it is discrete, the key which makes your bag single and is made for its user such as for example when the reason decorates the linings.
Every bag is a design with whole share and the details (impression, drapery, lining) make the specimen single. The limited series are also manufactured but small details always make it possible to differentiate a realization from another and it is there that its creative finds all the pleasure of craft work.
The colours are studied according to the seasons: let us tons autumnal or dark for the winter, your neutral with keys sharp for the summer.
