Patrick Paternoster is a wood turner anderlusien. At the beginning, nothing predestined it with this “passion of wood”! Inhabitant of Brussels at the origin, he started studies of accountant at the commercial institute of Brussels but its taste for the human contact directed him towards the sale of tools which he markets in industry in Belgium.
In 1998, one of the largest producers of tools in the world, an american company, called to its services to develop the products of various manufacturers whom it repurchased in Europe. Among these manufacturers appears the English company Record considered for its tools in wood of which, in particular, of the wood lathes.
“Happily, I was likely to meet a wood turner which taught me, with much passion, the use of the turn and its many tools. I was immediately filled with enthusiasm for this art… so much that I equipped a workshop and requested from my direction to deliver a wood lathe to me to allow me to practise the wood turnery by leaving free my creativity.”
He is likely to meet a wood turner, Andre Bovy, who immediately impassion him for this art. He then followed many training courses in France and in Ténérife… and at Jimmy Clewes, an English turner of exception, who teaches this “beautiful art” everywhere in the world!
