| At the age of seven, Didier Coomans de Brachène impassions himself for wood. After having followed during 4 years courses of joinery and cabinet work to Don Bosco in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert (Brussels), it enters to Saint Luc in Tournai to start a specialization in restoration of furniture, sculpture, marquetry and creation. It is during this specialization that he will learn the techniques of turnings. On October 1, 2004, Didier Coomans settles like independent. Its workshop of restoration of old pieces of furniture (movable inlaid and massive) of 18th to the 19th century is located in Brussels. Its speciality is the restoration of furnitures in marquetry Boulle (scale of tortoise and brass) in the purest tradition by using ancestral techniques.
